The schizophyllumcommune mushroom is probably the prettiest I've ever seen! It is from the splitgill family and the fluidity with which it grows makes it look like a flower. It isn't poisonous and can be eaten, but has been listed as an inedible mushroom because of its texture. I filled in the background of this piece with stippling as that is my favorite burningeffect and it always adds so much texture to any piece.
